Ready to Go Lesson Plans

We are lucky here in the Lesser Slave Lake Region – the boreal forest is right outside our backdoor! Students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 can visit the boreal forest everyday and still only be 5 minutes from home. The Lesser Slave Forest Education Society provides curriculum related programs through interactive field trips and classroom presentations to schools and community groups in the Lesser Slave Lake region. Through our many years of experience and professional expertise, we are in the process of creating downloadable lesson plans for educators outside our region to access anywhere, anytime. Together, with our educational partner the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory, these lesson plans will be developed at each grade level and will focus on curriculum regarding forests and environmental education. Please enjoy and have fun with the lesson plans that we have developed to date. If you have any questions or concerns just email info@lsfes.org
