The LSFES Annual Dinner is typically held in May of each year. The dinner is a fundraiser as well as a way to increase public awareness about the organization and recognize individuals for all of their hard work throughout the year. The event includes a silent auction, dinner and guest speakers.

Each year during Alberta Forest Week, the LSFES organizes school tours for grade 6 students. The tours are run by Government and Industry professionals with the goal of helping to educate the children of our community about our forests.

The last logger sports competition that the LSFES hosted was in 2007. Six teams competed for the title “Best Lumberjack Team”. Competition was fierce but the winning team, Gennesse Forestry Consultants got to take home the trophy in the end.
